B and D – On the Road

Point South/Yemasse, SC

We have now moved into South Carolina but still close to the Georgia line.

It is probably best we left the Stephen C. Foster State Park as people were starting to show up for the weekend.  Only 4 RV’s but the one that moved in a spot near by us would probably be very annoying.  They are one of those groups that will drive off all the wild animals.  They set up their trailer, parked three trucks on the side of the road blocking half of the road, parked a boat with trailer in site behind us.  Set up a canopy and a big blower that aimed at the picnic table.  I guess that was keep the files away.  They are not supposed to park on the road, there was space in their area for at least two of the trucks.  Not sure if they had reserved the spot behind us as there was no tag on the post.   I suspect they had more people than allowed at the camp site.  I managed to get the car backed out (our coach was in front of the car) so I could take the garbage to the dumpster but had to go down to another area and turn around as they were blocking the road.  When I came back Bruce had pulled the coach forward and out of our site and was in an area where we could attach the car to the tow bars.  Our new neighbors were all out talking loudly and pointing to our site so I imagine they were planning to take it over.

We are staying close to Savannah where we have visited before.  We got here Saturday afternoon and found a tire place we could go have the tire on the Explorer checked, it is a little low again.  We got an appointment for Sunday morning and had it checked, there was a nail in it and we had a slow leak.   We had the tires checked right before we left at the Ford dealer and they said they were fine, plenty of tread left.

They patched the tire but Bruce wants new tires that will be under warranty so we can get them fixed at any location of the tire store which is nation wide.  Tires had to be ordered so it was Monday afternoon before the new tires were put on the car.
