B and D – On the Road

The farm

We have been talking with Jerry every day and Georgiana is stable, several surgeries already done and more to come. We will stay here a couple of weeks to take care of stuff around the farm until Jerry can get back here full time. Not anything we can do for Georgiana except pray for her and make sure her chickens are fed.

I did not know chickens ate blueberries and grapes. I was cleaning out the refrigerator in the house to get rid of anything that might be going bad since it will be awhile before Georgiana is back home to handle it and I decided to toss out a container of blueberries and some grapes. Fortunately Bruce’s sister had come up for the night on her way to go see Georgiana and she told me those were for the chickens. They do enjoy them, every time you come out the kitchen door they are there waiting for treats.

Bruce has had a chance to drive his truck, get in some mowing practice on his Kubota and take care of little things that need handling. I have caught up on reading all kind of cooking magazines, Georgiana always has lots of them around. We have had some pretty sunsets and in the mornings pretty views over the lake from our bedroom window. It is a little unnerving to drive down the highway pass where Georgiana had her wreck. We did drive down to Tomball on Saturday and spent the night in a hotel. Gave use chance to go to our church and then go to a birthday party for his dad on Sunday afternoon.
