B and D – On the Road

Buffalo, Wyoming

Stopped over in Buffalo for a few days and it has been nice to be out of all the wind we had back in Casper. Fairly nice RV park with a stream running along the edge not to far behind our RV. Not doing too much here, it was just a stop over to kill a few days before we head on to Montana.

One of the things I had been looking at for this trip was possibly booking a fly fishing excursion for Bruce as I have seen them mentioned at several of the spots we are visiting. At this location we have had the opportunity to observe someone that has all the fly fishing gear, not sure if he actually fishes much but he does have the gear. For two days now we have watched him come to the back of his truck and get all prepped to fish. He puts on high socks and boots, tucks his pants into the top of the boots, puts on his vest and hat, loads up stuff on his vest then pulls out his fishing pole. All of this takes about 30 minutes and he then walks down to the stream to fish and is back in about 20 minutes. He then puts everything away and goes back inside his RV. I suggested Bruce follow him to the stream today to see if he actually gets in it or just stands on the side. He doesn’t have on high waders, not that the stream is really deep. Perhaps he is just practicing getting dressed to fish. Bruce said it looked like a lot of work for just a few minutes down by the stream.

We will have to see how things go as we continue going north, if we get to a spot that has plenty of excursions available we might still get the fishing trip planned.
